DEFEND YOUR LIBERTY!
From the dawn of human existence on our planet, individuals and groups have sought to control the thoughts and actions of others. When it became practical to establish governments to provide for mutual defense, it did not take long for the leaders of those governments to devise the means for restricting and limiting the freedoms of those individuals who consented to the establishment of government. Those leaders, whether kings, dictators or democratically elected representatives of the people, often forget, or simply ignored the fact that the powers of government are granted by those individuals who established it.
Those brave and daring individuals who founded the United States of America and drafted its constitution were quite aware of the danger of allowing government to escape the control of the governed. It is clear and obvious that our Founding Fathers intended the natural rights of sovereign indivudals to be preserved and made superior to the interests of government.
The Declaration of Independence states that "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them ...". It is clear that this passage is included to uphold the right of sovereign individuals to choose the nature and structure of their government and to make changes in that government when necessary. The Constitution is also quite clear on the subject of natural rights. The 10th Amendment guarantees that all powers and rights not granted to the federal government shall belong to the individual member states and to the people.
However, over the course of our national history, the federal government has gradually but continually infringed upon the basic rights of citizens. The clear and obvious provisions of the Constitution have been twisted and perverted to satisfy the desires of ruthless politicians who have little regard or concern for anything except their own power and influence.
Much ground was lost during the eight dark years our nation suffered under the perverse sociopathic agenda of Bill Clinton. He repeatedly warned of the "dangers" of division in our national community and complained that there were "too many intellectuals" in our government. On many occasions he circumvented the Congress and the Constitution by issuing executive orders that had the force of law. even though these acts lacked the approval and consent of the legislative branch. He ignored the fact that debate and discussion have long been an American tradition and necessary to the maintenance of a healthy and free nation.
Although the future looks a little brighter at present, there is still much work to do if we are going to promote and teach the principles of liberty to the modern generation and retake the rights and freedoms we are due by virtue of our humanity. It is my intention that this website serve as a forum for the promotion and preservation of a free society.
